What's in the template
Player
One row per player. Twenty blank rows are included; add as many as your pool needs.
Status
ALIVE or OUT. Update it after the week's games go final, and sort by it when the trash talk starts.
Mulligan Used
Yes or No. Only relevant if your pool gives each player one free life. Delete the column if you play sudden death.
W1 through W18
The pick columns. Enter each player's team abbreviation for the week (KC, BUF, DET). A filled cell doubles as your used-team record: before entering a pick, check the row to make sure the team has not been played.
What the template can't do
The sheet stores the pool. Someone still has to run it, and these are the four jobs that land on that someone every single week.
Collect picks privately, every week
Picks cannot go straight into a shared sheet or everyone sees them before kickoff. So they arrive by text, by email, by DM, and at least one arrives Sunday at 12:58 with the commissioner at a tailgate.
Enforce the deadline
Kickoff locking in a spreadsheet is an honor system. Someone will ask to change a pick at 1:02 because their guy is inactive, and the commissioner gets to be the villain or the pushover.
Check every pick against every row
The no-repeat rule means scanning eighteen columns per player per week. Miss one duplicate and the pool finds it in November, retroactively, loudly.
Score the week and update statuses
Sunday night or Monday morning, someone opens the sheet, checks the scores, flips ALIVEs to OUTs, and answers three messages asking if it is updated yet.

How do I use this survivor pool spreadsheet template?
Download the CSV, then open it in Excel or import it into Google Sheets (File, Import, Upload). How do I keep picks secret in a spreadsheet pool?
That is the spreadsheet's hardest problem. Players text or email picks to the commissioner privately, and the commissioner enters them after games kick off. It works until the commissioner is busy on a Sunday, wants to play too, or gets accused of peeking. Apps solve this by hiding everyone's picks automatically until each game's kickoff.
Should I use a spreadsheet or an app for my survivor pool?
A spreadsheet is fine for small, casual pools where everyone trusts the commissioner and nobody minds manual updates. An app is better once you care about hidden picks, automatic kickoff locking, used-team tracking, or not spending your Sundays doing data entry.
