Getting started
How do I create an account?
Open the app and tap Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. No password to remember. Use the same provider every time so you land in the same account: Apple and Google sign-ins are separate accounts, not two doors to one.
How do I join a pool?
Tap Join a Pool and enter the invite code from whoever runs your pool. No code? The free house pool that is open this week is listed right below the code box, and anyone can join it.
What is a house pool?
A free public pool run by Outpick that anyone can join, no invite code needed. A new one opens every week of the season, right when that week's games kick off, so there is always a pool you can still get into. It starts the following week and everyone in it starts even. House pools never count against the free limit of 2 friend pools. Tap Join a Pool to find the one that is open now.
How many people can be in a pool?
As many as you want. There's no limit on pool size, for friend pools or house pools. Survivor works at any size; big pools just take longer to crown a champion. Invite the whole group chat.
How do I create my own pool?
Tap Create a Pool, name it, choose the rules, and share the invite code with your group. Free accounts can be in up to 2 friend pools, created or joined; house pools never count against that. Outpick Pro unlocks unlimited pools and the season planner for $9.99 a year, from the Account tab.
How do I change my display name?
Account tab, tap Name. That's the name your pools and standings see, so make it fun.
Playing the game
Can I pick the same team twice?
No. In survivor pools every team is one-time-use for the whole season. Burn the Chiefs in Week 1 and they're off your board until next year. Choose wisely.
When do picks lock?
Each pick locks at that team's scheduled kickoff time, to the minute, with no early cutoff. Pick the Thursday team and you're locked Thursday. You can change an unlocked pick anytime before your team takes the field, and the kickoff time is shown next to every game.
I picked the wrong team by accident. Can I change it?
Yes, as long as that team's game has not kicked off. Open the pool, go to this week's pick, and tap a different team. The new pick replaces the old one. Once your team kicks off the pick is locked for good, and you cannot undo a pick from an earlier week.
Can someone else make my pick for me?
No. Picks can only be made from your own signed-in account, so nobody can pick for you and nobody can change yours. If you know you will be busy, use the season planner (Pro) to pencil in a team ahead of time, or turn on pick reminders so you never miss a week.
What happens if I forget to pick?
A missed pick counts as a loss. Set up pick reminders in the app so it never happens.
What happens if my team ties?
A tie counts as a loss. You picked them to win and they didn't. Brutal, but that's survivor.
What's a mulligan?
A second life. In pools that allow one, your first loss burns the mulligan automatically and you keep playing. Your second loss eliminates you. Most pools are strict with zero mulligans.
My pick lost. Why does Standings still show me alive with a mulligan?
Losses count the moment the game ends, but mulligans and eliminations are applied once every game of the week is final, usually within an hour after Monday night. That wait is deliberate: if everyone left in a pool loses the same week, nobody goes out, and the app cannot know that until the week is done. In the meantime Standings shows the pick as lost and what happens next.
What if everyone left loses in the same week?
Nobody is eliminated that week. Everyone survives and plays on. The pool only ends when someone outlasts the rest.
What if more than one player survives the whole season?
Co-champions. If multiple players are still alive after Week 18, they all win.
Can I join a pool after the season starts?
Yes. Pools close to new members at their first kickoff, but new pools can start any week of the season, so a mid-season pool is always a fresh, fair start. Missed this week? A new free house pool opens every week: tap Join a Pool and it is listed there. Or create your own and invite your group.
I made a pool after this week's games started. Why does it say next week?
Once a week's first game has kicked off, a new pool starts the following week. That gives your friends time to join (the pool stays open until next week's first kickoff) and means everyone makes their first pick together. Nothing to do until then except share the invite code.
Can I leave a pool?
Yes, until your first pick locks. Open the pool and tap Leave This Pool at the bottom. Once a pick of yours has kicked off, you're part of that season; to bow out after that, just stop picking.
Can I remove someone from my pool?
If you created the pool, yes, until that person's first pick locks. Open Standings for your pool and tap Remove next to their name. Once someone has a locked pick they are part of the season and stay in the standings; to bow out after that they just stop picking. House pools have no remove option.
Can I delete a pool I created?
Yes, until anyone's pick in it locks. Open your pool and tap Delete This Pool at the bottom. It disbands the pool for everyone, so warn the group chat first.
Can I see what other people are picking?
In your pool, picks stay hidden until each game kicks off, then they appear in standings. To see what everyone across Outpick picked this week, open the Games tab: once a game kicks off, each team shows the share of all Outpick players who picked it. The same numbers are on outpick.app/nfl-survivor-picks. Percentages appear only after each kickoff, so nobody can copy the crowd.

No. Outpick never takes entry fees or pays prizes. Any stakes stay between you and your group, outside the app.
Account and privacy
How do I delete my account?
Go to the Account tab in the Outpick app and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data.
What is the season planner?
A Pro feature. Open a pool and tap Plan your season to pencil in a team for every remaining week. The planner greys out teams you've already used or already planned, so you can't burn a team twice by accident. When a planned team's game kicks off, the plan becomes your pick for that week automatically, unless you've already picked something else. You can also tap Lock it in on the week to make it official early. Picks lock at each game's kickoff either way.
What is the tip jar?
A way to say thanks if Outpick made your season better. On the Account tab, tap Support Outpick and pick an amount. Tips are one-time, unlock nothing, and are never required. Pro is the thing that unlocks features; a tip is just a thank-you.
Is Outpick on Android?
Yes. Outpick is on the App Store and Google Play, and a pool can mix iPhone and Android players freely. One invite code works for everyone.

On the Account tab, tap Restore Purchases. Your Pro subscription is tied to the store account you bought it with: your Apple ID on iPhone, your Google account on Android. Restore only works on the same store, so an iPhone purchase does not carry over to an Android phone.
