- ✓Shorter beats clever. It has to fit in a standings row and survive being typed into a phone.
- ✓Inside jokes age best. The name referencing last year's collapse will still be funny in Week 15.
- ✓Commit to the bit. If you are Out By Week 3, being alive in Week 10 becomes the joke.
- ✓Match the room. The office pool and the college friends pool should probably not share a name.
